Pete revisits his former home – a very special site where he built two of his first-ever treehouses – with the intention of rehabilitating them for their current owners. Pete transforms the structures into a home office and multi-purpose room, essentially bringing them back to life. Revamping his old treehouse-building techniques with new and improved methods, Pete and his team fuse traditional wood with the power of steel, making these Nelson classics brand new. He fixes a rotting staircase, perilous suspension bridge and out-of-date wooden support beams that must be replaced with stronger metal beams – all huge tasks. He also tricks out the refurbished treehouses by expanding the interior space, adding a whiteboard wall, a sleeping loft and a custom-made conference table.
