Iceland are making their debut at a major tournament but their squad contains several talented players – such as Swansea midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson, who was their top scorer in qualifying with six goals.

As ever, Portuguese hopes rest largely on the brilliance of Cristiano Ronaldo. The Real Madrid superstar has won virtually every conceivable honour at club level, but chances are running out for him to lift silverware with his country.
