City are also seeking a fifth consecutive Premier League title, and with Arsenal finishing runners-up in each of the past two seasons, this fixture could be pivotal in deciding where the trophy ends up in May.

Elsewhere, Nottingham Forest travelled to the south coast to take on Brighton in the day's other match, where the visitors were attempting to score a first Premier League goal at the Amex Stadium at the third attempt.
