The TV series shows shows what life family life is like as you attempt to hold down jobs, raise three children and also have to deal with an irresponsible brother and a difficult dad. The pilot episode aired June 8, 2011 and it got a title of "Santorini" which refers to the place where the family of Liam and Caroline Flynn (Will Mellor and Niky Wardley) wants to go in a family holiday. The great desire to go on with their vacation plan made a great change on their work shift which however result to a detrimental effect on their children. With this pressure and situation, Tommy (Craig Parkinson) ends up stepping in with his own style of parenting. Tommy is Liam's brother who got a very unusual advice to the kids during their absence. Imagine he encouraged teenager Chloe (Orla Poole) to have her tongue pierced while the young Steve (Daniel Rogers) to learn kung fu and fight back bullies.
