Hoping it might help the residents of Bluebell, Alabama to accept her as one of their own, Dr. Zoe Hart accepts an invitation to join Mayor Hayes on his float in the Founder's Day Parade. However, Zoe accidentally crashes his float, hurting her chances of winning over Lemon and the Bluebell residents. In addition, George Tucker, Bluebell's golden boy, informs Zoe that she is contractually obligated to bring in at least 30% of the business at the medical practice, otherwise Dr. Brick Breeland will have the option to buy out her half of the practice.
