Plot

A science fiction film that stars Vin Diesel as Richard B. Riddick, Jordi Mollà, Matt Nable, Katee Sackhoff, Dave Batista, Bokeem Woodbine, Raoul Trujillo and Karl Urban. It is the 3rd installment in the The Chronicles of Riddick film series. It follows the film Pitch Black (2000) and The Chronicles of Riddick (2004). In the film, after he was betrayed by the Necromongers, he is left for dead on a sun-scorched lifeless-like planet where Riddick fights for survival against alien predators and becomes more powerful and dangerous than ever before. The only way that he can escape from the death storm of the planet is for him to activate an emergency beacon and alert mercenaries who rapidly descend to the planet in search of their bounty. Soon bounty hunters from throughout the galaxy descend on Riddick only to find themselves pawns in his greater scheme for revenge. With his enemies right where he wants them, Riddick unleashes a vicious attack of vengeance before returning to his home planet of Furya to save it from destruction. Riddick was directed by David Twohy, director of the previous Riddick films, Below and A Perfect Getaway.
