Plot

R.I.P.D. (Rest In Peace Department) is a supernatural film that follows a group of undead police force dedicated to protect and serve the living from arrogant, malevolent, bloodthirsty, evil spirits who refuse to move into the afterlife. Stars Jeff Bridges, Ryan Reynolds, Kevin Bacon and Mary-Louise Parker. The story begins with the murder of Nick Cruz (played by Ryan Reynolds). He was taken to join the undead police division and is assigned to be the partner of Roy Pulsipher (Jeff Bridges), a veteran officer of the R.I.P.D - the Rest In Peace Department. Nick tries to find out who is behind his death and punished them with what they've done. Directed by Robert Schwentke (director of RED, The Time Traveler's Wife, and Flightplan). Originally set to be really released on the 28th of June but moved to July 19, 2013.
