Plot

Goon is a comedy film that is set to be released on theaters on March 30 in the US and February 24, 2012 in Canada. The movie stars Seann William Scott as Doug "The Thug" Glatt, Liev Schreiber as Ross "The Boss" Rhea, Jay Baruchel as Pat, Marc-Andre Grondin as Xavier Laflamme, Alison Pill as Eva, Eugene Levy as Dr. Glatt, David Paetkau as Ira Glatt, Kim Coates as Ronnie Hortense, Jonathan Cherry as Marco, Ricky Mabe as John Stevenson, David Lawrence as Richard, Ellen David as Mrs. Glatt, Geoff Banjavich as Brandon, Todd Manning as Todd "The Hell" Manning, Robb Wells, John Paul Tremblay, and Mike Smith from Trailer Park Boys make a cameo appearance. Goon movie surround with Doug Glatt who becomes an enforcer of a hometown hockey team after defending his friend from an opposing team during a certain game. An enforcer is a player whose role is to protect his teammates and act as a deterrent by hitting or fighting opposing players who take liberties with his teammates.
