Plot

A science fiction film that centers with a futuristic place called "Elysium" which is a high-tech space station governed by President Patel. The movie stars Matt Damon as Max DeCosta the primary protagonist of the film, Jodie Foster, Sharlto Copley, Alice Braga, Diego Luna, Wagner Moura and William Fichtner. The setting of the film is in the year 2154 and follows the 36-year old ex-con Max Decosta who currently have a cancer virus. and has only 5 days to get from Los Angeles to the private medical machines of Elysium in order to be cured. However the utopian life of of the people Elysium does not allow people to enter their territory and enforce an anti-immigration laws to maintain this lifestyle of the citizen. That's when Max plan to get himself to enter the place by kidnapping a rich businessman to steal his identity and hijack his way into Elysium. The film was directed by Neill Blomkamp (co-writer and director of District 9). It will be released in the US on August 9 and August 21, 2013  in UK theaters.
