Plot

Despicable Me 2 is the sequel to the 2010 animated movie Despicable Me which continues with what the first film have left off where Gru is no longer a villain and live in a normal but seems unexciting new life. In the movie, his new calm life takes an unexpected turn when several of his Minions are kidnapped and then he was recruited by Lucy Wilde and Silas Ramsbottom and is taken to the headquarters of the Anti-Villain League, a society dedicated to fighting crime on a global scale. He will be encountering a new villain under the name of Eduardo and since the organization believe that Gru is the right guy for the job since they know that Gru knows how villains think, they want him to be part of the league. With the help of his assistant, Dr. Nefario, his minions, Margo, Edith, and Agnes, Gru must save the world (again). Voices featured on the film are Steve Carell (Gru), Russell Brand (Dr. Nefario), Kristen Wiig (Lucy Wilde), Benjamin Bratt (Eduardo/El Macho), Steve Coogan (Silas), Ken Jeong (Floyd), Dana Gaier (Edith), Elsie Fisher (Agnes), Moises Arias (Antonio) and Miranda Cosgrove (Margo). The movie was directed by Pierre Coffin (Despicable Me, Minions) and Chris Renaud (Dr. Seuss' The Lorax, Despicable Me).
