Plot

American Hustle is a crime drama thriller film that stars Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner, and Jennifer Lawrence. The movie was based on the 1970-80's  FBI ABSCAM operation and centers with the alluring of one of the most stunning scandals to rock the United States. A brilliant con man, Irving Rosenfeld (Christian Bale), who along with his partner and lover, Sydney Prosser (Amy Adams), are recruited and forced to work for an FBI agent, Richie DiMaso (Bradley Cooper), who pushes them into the enchanting and dangerous world of Jersey powerbrokers and mafiosi. The operation eventually involves the Mayor of Camden, New Jersey, Carmine Polito (Jeremy Renner), who is caught between the con-artists and FBI, while Rosalyn (Jennifer Lawrence), the wife of Rosenfelds, threatens to destroy the entire operation.
