Plot

A fantasy action film that depicts the fictional account of a real-life group of samurai in Japan in the 18th century called forty-seven ronin. Keannu Reeves lead character Kai, the primary protagonist of the movie. Other stars included in 47 Ronin film are Tadanobu Asano as Lord Kira, Rinko Kikuchi as Mizuki, Hiroyuki Sanada as Kuranosuke Oishi, Kou Shibasaki as Mika, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa as the Shogun, Jin Akanishi as Chikara Oishi and Rick Genest as Savage. The following is the plot summary of the movie: The outcast Kai, illegitimate son of a British sailor and a Japanese peasant woman, joins a group of Ronin, led by Kuranosuke Oishi, who seeks vengeance on Lord Kira, a ruthless man who killed their master and banished the group. The Ronin embark on a journey with challenges that would defeat most warriors. Directed by Carl Erik Rinsch (The Gift). The 47 Ronin film was released in 3D and shown in theaters worldwide beginning Christmas day of 2013.
